Freedom of Information Request
 

Transparency is the key and the Town of Carlisle strives to be transparent and provide the information that citizens request however we still have to conduct normal business' in a timely fashion and will handle FOIA request in order received and as time permits, it can take up to 30 days or longer for you to receive the information requested depending on how far back in the archives we have to search.

FOIA POLICY

Initiating Request for Record
  1. Records request will be received during normal business hours only.

  2. Records request will only be accepted on the form located on the Town of Carlisle Website or available at Town Hall

  3. In person request will be acknowledge at time received

  4. Email and US Mail request will be acknowledged within seven (7) business days.

Providing Records Requested
  1. Routine work will not be stopped to look up records request, records request will be handled in order received and records provided when time allows.

  2. Investigatory Records of Law Enforcement will not be provided.

  3. Surveillance Camera footage of the Town will not be provided as this may disclose the location of cameras that are for the purpose of safety and security and surveillance of possible terrorist activity.

  4. A charge of $.10 per copy for photocopies will be charged

  5. We can only email five (5) pages of records requested, more than five will require photocopies at $.10 per copy.

  6. All Fee’s must be paid before records are released.

  7. Any other record deemed confidential by Indiana Statue, or the United States Supreme Court will not be released

  8. Identifying Information of Customers or employee’s will not be released
